For week two (sorry I'm behind)....
Last weekend I drove two hours from my house to go hiking with some other Jewish friends in the Santa Cruz mountains. I haven't been hiking in a while, and I usually don't drive so far away to get to the sites (so it felt like a true get-away). We packed our lunches and spend the whole day lazily exploring the redwoods. We ate lunch on the ground in the middle of the forest after walking over a creek (only two of us fell in!). It was really nice to be outside and have the only time constraint be the sun setting.
